Our Biloxi, MS casino resort is built with two things in mind - pleasure and comfort. The 1,740 rooms at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino include panoramic, city, and ocean-view rooms. There are a number of restaurants on-site, perfect for any perceptive palate from fine dining to buffets to quick-stop food shops.

Although Grand Casino Biloxi sustained major hurricane damage (all of its assets on the south side of Beach Blvd were destroyed, see photos here), it managed to reopen on August 27, 2006 with a land based casino inside its Bayview Hotel tower. Harrah's plans to invest over $1B building a new resort and has purchased the Casino Magic Biloxi property next door. But those plans are on hold due to the economy.

Today The Grand consists of a 500 room hotel with a swimming pool and spa, a casino with 800 slots and 35 table games, and four retaurants. While it is much smaller than it once was, Harrah's has really packed a lot of excitement into the casino while retaining a relaxing atmosphere in the hotel and spa.

LOCATION

Grand Casino Biloxi is at the west end of Biloxi's Casino Strip; Isle of Capri Casino is two blocks away (Casino Magic, which was next door was destroyed by the hurricane and no longer exists). The resort is less than one mile east of I-110 and Beau Rivage on Beach Blvd (US-90).

OWNERSHIP

The Grand is owned by Harrah's. This is currently Harrah's only Mississippi Gulf Coast casino. The company began developing the space across the street into the Margaritaville Casino, but the construction is on hold due to the economy. Harrah's operates three Tunica casinos as well as resorts in Nevada and New Jersey.

Hotel @ Grand Biloxi

The Grand Hotel has 500 rooms, each with plasma television, pillow top bed, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing equipment, and high-speed internet access. There hotel has a beautiful swimming pool with cabanas. There is also a convenient garage parking.

Our room, on the eleventh floor in the hotel tower had a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. It was spacious, well appointed, and perfect in every way.

Grand Casino has 800 slot machines, an Asian gaming room, and 35 table games (Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, Pai Gow, 3-Card Poker, and Mini Baccarat). Harrah's Total Rewards card holders can earn cash and comps while they play.

Dining @ Grand Casino Biloxi

Cuu Long Souper Pho is an Asian bistro. Enjoy appetizers, noodle soups, fried rice, plus fish, lobster, duck, and pork entrees.

Grand Buffet has breakfast, lunch, and dinner seatings. Features over 100 hot and cold selections, live action made-to-order cooking stations, various carving stations, and seafood nightly.

The Grand Cafe - 24-hour coffee shop located in the hotel lobby serving pastries, sandwiches and wraps, salads, hot breakfast sandwiches, cakes, and beverages.

Hotel Lobby Bar - burgers, sandwiches, po-boys, appetizers, and salads.

Lb's Steakhouse serves steaks, prime rib, seafood, fresh fish, other dishes, and fine wine (most entrees fall in the $20 to $35 price range). Open nightly for dinner.

Entertainment, Recreation, Relaxation, Etc.

The Casino Stage Bar features live entertainment. The Hotel Lobby Bar offers a more relaxed setting to enjoy drinks, appetizers, and view sports on flat screen televisions.

Swimming Pool The Grand has a great, large swimming pool and deck with cabanas located on the lobby level over the street with a view of Casino Row.

Bellisimo Spa & Salon - the 16,000 square foot facility has fitness equipment, a salon (facials, manicures, pedicures), and spa treatments (massage, body wraps, mud wraps, steam room, immersion tubs, sauna).

Grand Bear Golf Course is a highly rated, 18-hole, 650 acre, Jack Nicklaus Signature course. Golf packages are available thru the resort.

Harrah's Gulf Coast is a casino and hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi, owned by Vici Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment.

This facility replaces the former Grand Casino Biloxi, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. At the time, the casino offered a 106,000-square-foot (9,800 m²) casino, two hotels with 975 rooms, and a 42,000-square-foot (3,900 m²) convention center.

Currently, the casino features around 800 slot machines and 35 table games.^[2]

Grand Casino Biloxi Mississippi

Prior to 2005 this casino was a Grand Casinos and Park Place Entertainment property. After the ownership change to Harrah's Entertainment it was announced that this casino was being converted to the Horseshoe brand. But these plans were put on hold when Biloxi and the Gulf Coast were hit by Hurricane Katrina. The storm destroyed the barge on which the casino floor was located; the storm surge swept the barge from the shoreline all the way across Beach Boulevard, nearly 500 feet (150 m) inward. On May 21, 2006, demolition crews imploded the beach-side hotel structure, leaving Harrah's with a clean slate for rebuilding.

After Katrina, the company announced that they will be re-opening the facility during Summer 2006, with a 35,000 sq ft (3,300 m²) casino, a spa, and other amenities, but the facilities south of Highway 90 would take several years to complete. On August 17, 2006, the first phase of the rebuilding opened with a 495-room hotel and a new land-based casino.

The long-term plan for this property had been to construct what Harrah's (now renamed back to Caesars) called 'a destination resort.' Part of the expansion plans revolved around Caesars' purchase of the 18 acres (73,000 m²) that comprised the neighboring Casino Magic property. In May 2007, Harrah's announced the Margaritaville Casino and Resort would be built on the site.^[3]

However, construction of that expansion ceased in 2008 due to economic concerns, and in January 2011, Caesars officials announced the termination of the agreement with Jimmy Buffett and his Margaritaville brand. A new Margaritaville Casino and Restaurant, not affiliated with Caesars Entertainment, was to be constructed at a different location in Biloxi.^[4]

In October 2017, ownership of the property was transferred to Vici Properties as part of a corporate spin-off, and it was leased back to Caesars Entertainment.^[5][6]
